ZACCIMA PRESENTS N20 BILLION LOAN FACILITY PROPOSAL FOR MEMBERS TO ZMSG

President, Zamfara Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, ZACCIMA, Dr. Hassan Buhari Tafida (Sarkin Rafin Gusau), has presented a facility proposal amounting to 20 Billion Naira to Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state.
Presenting the loan facility proposal to Governor Dauda Lawal at Government House rexently, Dr. Hassan Buhari Tafida, said the move was a follow up to earlier submission to the governor on December 9th, 2024 and based on the governor's directive to the chamber during a courtesy call on him on August 29th, 2024.
The President noted that before the proposal for the loan facility initiated, the chamber had consumed financial experts , and had gained the consent and backing of the Bank of Industry, BOI.
According to Sarkin Rafin Gusau, the loan facility which is in line with the state government's transformative mission for encouraging investments, promoting business entrepreneurship and creating more jobs opportunities, has captured interests of 20 states of the federation.
Dr. Hassan Buhari Tafida disclosd that already, applications for the facility from the respective 14 local government areas of the state have been received.
He firther disclosed that large scale enterprises,com comprising manufacturers and processors from the 14 local government areas requested over N40.13 billion.
He maintaned that requests from Small and medium enterprises across the 14 local government areas, comprising suppliers and traders amonunt to over N28.36 billion, while micro enterprises that include petty traders and service providers from the respective 14 local government areas of the state, also reqiest over N1142 billion.
Cummulatively, Tafida stated, requests from the respective members in the state amount to about N80 billion, but stressed that based on Governor Dauda Lawal's ealier instruction on the limit, the requests from members have been slashed down and restricted to the N20billion, not the whole N80 as proposed by the respective members.
The ZACCIMA President stated that proper arrangements for collaterals to the loan facility have made, expressed confidence on the modalities so far.
He assured the state government, Zamfara citizens and relevant stakeholders of strategic allocation to qualified members, free and fair disbursement, transparency, accountability and effective utilization of the facility.
Sarkin Rafin Gusau further indicated that the loan facility will create job opportunities, stabilize supply chain, reduce burdens on government, and will improve livelihood of not only members of the chamber, but Zamfara citizens.
More so, Dr. Tafida added that initiative will boost the status of enterprises and businesses in the state, and by implication, will ginger up transformatively, on the economy and income of the state government.
