Zamfara Govt. begins to review security challenges

Zamfara State Security Trust Fund have organize five day stakeholders interactive session to review security challenges bordering the state and it neighbouring.

The aimed of the forum was to bring together all critical stakeholders to digests on issues revolving the insecurity as it give new dimension by the day.

Declaring the session open the State Governor, Dauda Lawal called on Council Chairmen to remain closer to their communities to enable them known much about security affecting the grassroot community.

The Governor who was represented by the State Deputy Governor, Mallam Mani Mummune said must of the attacks and other criminal activities carried out by bandits were done at the rural communities.

The presence of the council chairmen and their councillor in their communities can give them better understanding of the nature and the dimension insecurity of their areas.

"It is you responsibility to feed Governor with any security threat beyond their control for necessary action, and you are to equally report the action and inactions of the security operatives.

He also urged them to use this opportunity to reveal all the security issues affecting their various communities for better digestion and prompt action.

In his remarks The Acting Chairman Zamfara State Security Trust Fund, Abdulkadir Abubakar said the board had over last one year taking its time and quietly study the gigantic responsibility of the body.

The notoriety of insecurity in the state had recognized the need to make total reviewed of the matter to avoid adopting some measures that had failed previously.

"We must try this time around to make a difference no matter how small. Our solutions must be home grown reflecting our unity of purpose among us". He said.
