Zamfara Govt. reviews insecurity, vow to restore peace

Zamfara State Security Trust Fund have organize five day stakeholders interactive session to review security challenges bordering the state and it neighbouring.
The forum aimed at bring together all critical stakeholders to digests on issues revolving around the insecurity as it give new dimension by the day.
In his remarks at event The Acting Chairman Zamfara State Security Trust Fund, Brigadier Gen. Abdulkadir Abubakar rtd said the board had over last one year taking its time and quietly study the gigantic responsibility of the body.
The notoriety of insecurity in the state had recognized the need to make total reviewed of the matter to avoid adopting some measures that had failed previously.
"We must try this time around to make a difference no matter how small. Our solutions must be home grown reflecting our unity of purpose among us". He said.
"I therefore called on stakeholders to use this opportunity to reveal all the security issues affecting their various communities for better digestion and prompt action.
"We are determine to drown some home grown policies and programs that will add value to the kinetic approach of the security operatives in dealing with menace.
"Our concern is ideas capable of bringing solution to our current security challenges, we should all avoid blame games between ourselves in making comments and contributions at the interactive session. He added.
He commended Governor Dauda Lawal for donating 90 operational vehicles to security agencies therefore, task the operatives to live up to the expectations of citizens in restoring normalcy to the state.
The Federal Government has its role which is restoration of sovereignty, regional and border security of the Nigeria State.
The military and police would continued to be in the state for as long as insurgency exists. Zamfara state government is doing it own best to complement the FG effort in reducing the pains of war and insecurity on innocent citizens.
The stakeholders take part at the interactive session to include; Local Government Chairman and their Councillors, Tradition and Religious Leaders, Security Agencies, NGOs and Civil Society Organization.
Others are Vigilant Group, NURTW, Miyetty Allah, Cattle Dealers Association, Marketers and Artisan Miners Association, NLC and other industrial union's among others.
