Gov Muhammad engages former VOA Hausa Service Guru as SSA Communications

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has appointed a veteran journalist and broadcaster, Alhaji Abdulwahab Muhammad as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA)  Communication.

This was contained in a press statement signed and made available to journalists in Bauchi by the Governor's Special Adviser on Media and Communication Comrade Mukhtar Gidado. According to the statement  Governor Muhammed, tasked the former VOA Guru Abdulwahab Mohammed to bring to the administration, his wealth of experience spanning decades in media, at both national and international levels.

"The Bauchi State Government is pleased to announce the appointment of Alhaji Abdulwahab Mohammed, a seasoned journalist and former staff of Hausa Service of Voice of America (VOA), as Senior Special Assistant on Communication to His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State", Gidado stated in the press statement.

He said that the appointment of Alhaji Abdulwab Muhammad, been a veteran broadcaster, reflects Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to strengthening the state’s communication machinery and deepening government engagement with the public.

"As a trusted voice in journalism with a track record of objectivity, and dedication, Alhaji Abdulwahab Mohammed is expected to play a key role in projecting the laudable policies and programmes of the Bauchi State Government, enhancing public awareness, and promoting good governance", the Governor said.

While congratulating  the new appointee on his deserved appointment, Governor Muhammed urged him to bring his vast expertise to bear in the discharge of his responsibilities, in line with the administration’s vision of building a more informed and inclusive society.
