Zamfara CP hosts REC, assured to safeguard electoral officers, materials

The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, psc+,  received the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Muhmuda Isah, in the State headquarters Gusau.

In a Statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Command DSP Yazid Abubakar anipr, issued to the journalists in Gusau the State capital.

According to the Statement, Dr. Isah commended the Police Command for its consistent support in maintaining peace and security, particularly during election periods.

He stressed the importance of strong collaboration between the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies in delivering credible, free, and fair elections.

Responding CP Maikaba psc+ appreciated the REC and his team for the visit and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting INEC’s mandate. 

He assured that the Command will continue to provide the necessary security to safeguard electoral officers, materials, and the electorate before, during, and after the elections.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD).
