COMMUNITY HOLDS WALIMAT IN HONOUR OF NEWLY APPOINTEES OF FUHST IN ZAMFARA

The Local Committee for the establishment of the Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, has organized a Walimat in honour of the institution’s newly appointed Registrar, Alhaji Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa, and Bursar, Alhaji Sanusi Usman Nakazalle.

In his welcome address, the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Comrade Isiyaka Sabo Tsafe, said the event was primarily to thank Allah (SWT) for making the establishment of the university a reality. 

He expressed deep gratitude to the Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Senator Ikra Aliyu Bilbis, for his tireless efforts in ensuring the successful passage of the bill that birthed the institution.

Delivering a sermon, the Chief Imam of Tsafe Central Mosque, Imam Kabir Dan Baba, represented by his Deputy, Ustaz Habibu Liman, stressed the importance of gratitude, citing the Qur’an: “When you thank Me for the wealth I give you, I will increase you.” 

He urged the new appointees to fear Allah, uphold justice, and discharge their responsibilities with sincerity.

In their goodwill messages, the Emir's of Tsafe, Kaura Namoda, the Registrar of the College of Health Sciences Tsafe, Yandoton Tsafe Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Bawa, Sarkin Kiyawa Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Asha, as well as family members and community leaders including Kabiru Usman Nakazalle, Habibu A. Habibu Tsafe, and Tasiu Yelwa, all commended Senator Bilbis for facilitating the establishment of the university described as the first of its kind in the country. They equally advised the celebrants to remain God-fearing and just in their service.

Speaking on behalf of the celebrants, the Registrar, Alhaji Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa, expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the bill establishing the university. 

He also thanked Senator Bilbis for his relentless commitment to the project and Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, for fulfilling all promises made to the Federal Government towards the university’s take-off.
