UBEC distributes instructional Materials to Zamfara Schools

Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has distribute instructional materials under the 2023 FGN-UBE intervention funds and Zamfara appropriation budget.

Flagging - off  the Distribution of Materials in Gusau,  Zamfara State Governor Dr, Dauda Lawal Said that, the instructional Materials were critical in the learning process.

“You can remember if you have a child that goes to school when he was giving homework to do you as a father will try to make it easy for him, but he would tell you it is not the way teacher says I should do it”

“It is about keeping Zamfara on the path of recovery renewals and progress through education which remain the shortest way of bringing civilization every time in the society”

“We cannot afford to neglect this truth if we wish to overcome insecurity, if we wish to break the gender poverty, if we wish to give our children a future worse of the dignity, we must return and keep our children in the classroom which seriousness and determination in our decision”

“To recognize the most effective way of resetting the minds of our people today as part of commitment we are distributing 48,000 137 teaching and learning materials procured directly by the UBEC in partnership with Zamfara government”

the Governor Lawal said, it was the largest single investment in institution, resources that the state had ever witness a conviction that teachers cannot succeed without the right tools and people cannot learn without adequate learning materials.

He said the materials procured by the state with the contribution of the UBEC and the support of UNICEF has it owned significance but together they tell one powerful story of choosing the right path of knowledge as the foundation for rebuilding education.

In her remarks, the UBEC Executive Secretary, Aisha Garba represented by the Zamfara State Coordinator, Nafiu Yusuf, Commended Zamfara government for the payment of it’s state’s counter funds ahead of time.

Aisha Garba appealed to Zamfara Government to transform the state teachers training center into a model stage for the development of teaching and learning process.

She said, UBEC is committed to work closer with state government to develop education in the state.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Maryam Yahaya said, the Materials will make a technical impact to the development of educational system in the state.

She commended the federal government for the unwavering support given to the state in the development of education.
