Zamfara Governor's Wife support family of triplets

The Wife of Zamfara State Governor Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has extended a hand of support to a family blessed with triplets recently delivered in Mada Town.

In a statement Signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor's Wife on Media and Press Secretary, Hajjiya Rabi Yusuf issued to newsmen in Gusau recently.

Rabi Yusuf said in a show of compassion and solidarity, the First Lady provided the parents with medical assistance, foodstuffs, diapers, cash support, and other essential items to ease the burden of caring the newborns babies.

Hajiya Hurriya  reaffirmed commitment to the welfare of women and children across state, assuring that her office will continue to support vulnerable families and promote maternal and child health.

Receiving the items,  parents of the triplets Iliyasu Nuhu Mada and Aina'u Musa, thanked Governor wife for the donating the items, assured to utilize it judiously.

They  expressed happiness to the First Lady for the timely intervention, describing the gesture as a great relief to the family.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). In a Press Statement signed by the centre’ s Public Relation Officer, Dr. Naziru Tukur and made available to newsmen, said modalities have been put in place to ensure the actualisation of the upgrade. “The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) currently offers five accredited medical programmes, with students already in 200 level” “The centre’s management has intensified efforts in providing critical infrastructure for teaching and learning at the facility,” the statement read.
