FROM JAMILU SANI TSAFE
The Zamfara State Government has appealed to Islamic clerics across Country to include the state in their prayers due to the persistent issues of banditry and kidnapping for ransom that the state is currently facing.
The Acting Governor of the state, Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) made the appeal during a speech at the launch of a book written by the late Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gummi, titled "Where I stand" which was translated into Arabic by Dr. Ibrahim Jalo Jalingo, which took place at Yar'Adua Hall in Kaduna.
Mani Mummuni prayed to God to expose anyone aiding the bandits, whether by supporting, sponsoring or helping them in any way. He also invoked God’s judgment on those who have the power to stop the violence but have chosen to remain silent.

He assured the leadership of the Izalatul Bid’ah waIqamatus Sunnah group that once Governor Dauda Lawal returns, they will hold a meeting to determine the appropriate steps to take.
The Deputy Governor also thanked the organizers of the event and those who were able to attend, praying to God to grant everyone safe journeys back to their homes.
In his remarks of appreciation, the National President of Izalatul Bid’ah wa Iqamatus Sunnah, Sheikh Bala Lau, expressed gratitude to the Zamfara State Government and Governor Dauda Lawal for the efforts they have shown.
