Exploit Full Potentials Of Your Newspaper Company, NUJ President Urges Zamfara Govt

Zamfara State Government has been urged to exploit the enormous potentials of its Newspaper Company

(the Weekly Legacy Newspaper) as a veritable tool for public communication and enlightenment.

The called was made by the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya Abdullahi, during the inauguration of the new Executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Legacy Chapel. held at the Legacy newspaper Promises in Gusau the State capital. 

The National President who was represented by the NUJ Zonal Secretary, Comrade Abdurrazak Bello Kaura, said

the Legacy Newspaper possessed the manpower, equipment, and professional expertise necessary to effectively publicize government programs, policies, and developmental strides.

“We appeal to Zamfara Government to look favourably into the operations of Legacy Newspaper. Supporting and repositioning this institution will not only promote good governance and transparency but will also serve the broader interests of Zamfara State and its citizens in the realm of information dissemination”

He congratulated the new executives for their electoral victory, urged them to work diligently and collectively to restore the lost glory of the Legacy Newspaper, both its online and print editions. “The publication should once again stand as a credible platform that upholds professional standards, ethical reporting, and journalistic excellence”, he emphasized.

He appealed the new Executives to prioritize welfare of members and maintain close collaboration with the Zamfara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists in all their undertakings, “Unity and teamwork remain the bedrock of progress within the NUJ family”, he stressed.
