Zamfara First Lady urges women steady mobilization towards PDP victory

The Wife of Zamfara State Governor, Hajiyya Huriyya Dauda Lawal has call on women across the state to remain steadfast and united in mobilisation and coordinating efforts, stressing that unity and focus remain vital to the PDP continued success in the state.

In a statement by Press Secretary to the First Lady, Hajjiya Rabi Yusuf issued to newsmen in Gusau on Thursday.

According to the statement the First Lady made the called at an event to honoured by the Zamfara Chapter of People Democratic Party (PDP) Women’s Forum in recognition of her visionary leadership, dedication to women empowerment and outstanding contributions to party development and good governance.

The colourful event held at the PDP State Secretariat in Gusau, attracted women leaders from all 14 local government areas and 147 wards of the state, as well as top party executives, stakeholders and enthusiastic supporters.

The prestigious award was jointly presented by the State PDP Chairman, Dr. Jamilu Jibo Magayaki and the State PDP Women Leader, Hajiya Rabi Madawaki who described Her Excellency as “a symbol of hope, unity and inspiration whose passion for women’s progress continues to strengthen the PDP in Zamfara State.

“Together, we will make our party greater and stronger, Insha Allah. Let us remain united, focused and determined to ensure victory for our party and progress for our people. Indeed, four plus four is confirmed, Insha Allah!”

Appreciating the award the Governor Wife expressed happiness to the PDP Women’s Forum for the recognition describing it as a reflection of the collective strength and commitment of women within the party. 

She noted that the honour would further motivate her to continue championing initiatives that uplift women and improve the wellbeing of the people of Zamfara State.

“I am truly humbled and grateful to the PDP Women’s Forum for this exceptional honour,” she said. 


“This award is not just about me, it celebrates the unity, dedication and hard work of all women in our great party who continue to stand firm for progress under the purposeful leadership of my husband, His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal.”

The event ended with atmosphere of celebration, solidarity and renewed commitment from the women’s forum to strengthen the PDP family and sustain the achievements of the Dauda Lawal-led administration in Zamfara State.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD).
