ZMSG TO CONSTRUCT A LODGE FOR SULTAN OF SOKOTO

   ​The Zamfara State Government has announced its intention to construct a lodge for the Sultan of Sokoto near the palace of Emir of Kaura Sarkin Kiyawan in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.

   ​The State Governor  Dauda Lawal, made this Announce this in Kaura Namoda during the graduation ceremony (Walima) for 432 students who completed the recitation of the Holy Qur'an at the Ahmad Asha Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies.

   ​The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Malam Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) said, the plan is rooted in the history of Zamfara State, noting that historically, whenever the Sultan of Sokoto visits the Zamfara region, he always stays at the Kaura Namoda Emirate.

   ​Governor Dauda Lawal commended the giant effort of the school's teachers for providing the students with the necessary education for the development of the Islamic religion in the area and the state as a whole.

​  Governor Dauda Lawal also praised  the emir of Kaura Namoda Sarkin kiyawa  Dr. Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha, for his commitment to ensuring the progress of the school, which was founded by his late grandfather  Ahmad Asha, 64 years ago.

   ​Dauda Lawal announced a donation of Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000) to carry out some projects at the institute. 

    He also promised to consider and including the names of the school's teachers in the state government's welfare system.

   ​He further called upon the Islamic custodian of Norms and values  in the state to uphold positive Hausa customs and discipline to foster good character among the growing youth population in the state.

   ​The institute is currently overseen by the Sultan of Sokoto, who finances its operations, which include the payment of salaries for its 66 teachers and covering the educational expenses of its over one thousand students.

   ​In his address, His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Alh. Sa'adu Abubakar III, guaranteed his continued support for the school, which he described as a charitable legacy inherited from his ancestors.

   ​Alh. Sa'adu Abubakar III also highlighted the importance of education and peace in every community, stating that they are inseparable elements.

    ​The Sultan also announced a gift of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) each for 20 students who memorized the Holy Qur'an, and sponsored 20 students from the school for Diploma programs at the Federal Polytechnic in Kaura Namoda.

   ​Earlier in his address, His Royal Highness the Emir of Kaura, Sarkin Kiyawa Dr. Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha, commended His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto for his dedication to the school and also praised the State Government for its efforts in promoting the Islamic religion.

      In a related development, His eminence the sultan of Sokoto along side, State Deputy Governor Malan Mani Malan Mummuni, attended the funeral prayer of late Hajiya Rabi Mode Usman, Mother of the emir of Birnin Magaji Alh Hussaini mode Usman at Birnin Magaji emerate.

Mani Malam mummuni prayed Allah SWA to grant the deceased jannatul Firdausi, and her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
