XMAS : Zamfara Gov's. Wife distributes foodstuffs, Cash, to Christian Communities, others

The Wife of Zamfara State Governor Hajiya Huriyya Daúda Lawal has distributed foodstuffs, and Cash to 26 Christian Communities, and organization for festival celebration in the state.

Distributing the items in Gusau Hajiyya Dauda Lawal  urged the Christian faith brothers to continued to preached unity and peace among followers.


"I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all those gathered here for this Christmas support distribution, this gesture is a token of gratitude to the continuous support you have been given to the government”

"From the first day you remain the pillars of peace strength progress in homes and communities".  She said.


The 26 communities and organization  benefited from the gesture include; the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Igbo, Yaruba, Dakkarawa, Igala and Ibira communities.


Others were Market Women, NYSC, Lawyers, Youths, Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Bankers, Media, Military and Paramilitary Agencies personnel.


Each community or organization received a concernment that comprises, N1.4million cash, pastor sugar, 14bags of 50kg Rice, Carton of Maggie, 2carton of cooking oil and many more, all were provided to support Christian brothers during this festive season.


" I urge you to kindly share these items to families with the fear of God as the purpose of this gathering is to assist and uplift households who are celebrating Christmas across the state” 

Appreciating the gesture the CAN Chairperson Women Wing, Miss Martila Udowella expressed happiness with the gesture, adding that this had truly demonstrate a spirit of togetherness.

Udowella said the Christian brothers in the state acknowledged the effort of Gov. Dauda Lawal in bringing meaningful development to the state.

The CAN also presented an award of excellent on humanitarian service to the State Governor Wife for her outstanding performance in the development of women and other vulnerable groups in the state.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). In a Press Statement signed by the centre’ s Public Relation Officer, Dr. Naziru Tukur and made available to newsmen, said modalities have been put in place to ensure the actualisation of the upgrade. “The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) currently offers five accredited medical programmes, with students already in 200 level” “The centre’s management has intensified efforts in providing critical infrastructure for teaching and learning at the facility,” the statement read.
