ZMSG REAFFIRM ITS COMMITMENT TO INFRASTRUCTURE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

   The Zamfara State Government has reiterated its commitment to the continue execution of developmental projects across both urban and rural areas of the state, in line with its broader agenda of reforming and rebuilding Zamfara.

   The State Acting Governor Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi), gave the assuarance, while representing the Executive Governor, Dauda Lawal, during the distribution of empowerment materials in Bakura and Moriki towns.

   While in Bakura, the Acting Governor formally flagged off the distribution of empowerment items provided by the Chairman of Bakura Local Government Council, Saidu Dan Bala Yarkoji, to residents of the area. The items which included tailors, mill operators, and petty traders, who received sewing machines, grinding machines, shop and bakery equipment, as well as support for small-scale businesses, particularly women.

   While addressing the gathering, Mani Malam Mummuni commended the Chairman of Bakura Local Government for the initiative, describing it as a positive step toward improving livelihoods at the grassroots. He noted that, the intervention reflects appreciation to the people who supported the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Dauda Lawal during the 2023 general elections.

   In a related development, the Acting Governor also visited Moriki, where he represented Governor Dauda Lawal at the inauguration of another empowerment programme organized by the Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki and  distributed Items to the people of his constituency which included sewing machines, irrigation pumps, modern fertilizers, spraying chemicals, POS machines, school materials, and teaching aids in order to boost the economic activities in the area.

   While Speaking Mani Malam Mummuni praised the Speaker for the laudable initiative and called on other members of the State Assembly and political office holders to emulate such efforts by directly supporting the welfare of their constituents.

   In their separate remarks, the speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki and Hon. Saidu Dan Bala Yarkoji expressed gratitude to Governor Dauda Lawal and his Deputy, Mani Malam Mummuni for the opportunity and support that made the empowerment programmes possible.

  Among the entourage of the acting Governor are, commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Engr. Ahmad Garba Yandi, political chieftain Abubakar bargaja Gummi and some politicians among others .

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD).
