COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY TSAFE, MEET WITH TRANSITION COMMITTEE

The Management of Health Sciences and Technology Tsafe, has received the Transition Committee to Integrate the College in to Newly Established Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology Tsafe.

In a Press Statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Institution, Malan Jamilu Sani Tsafe, issued to the Journalists in Gusau.

According to the Statement, the acting Provost of the Institution, Malan Jamilu Lawal, welcome the Committee Members, said the management of the College is working closely with the committee to make the vision a reality.

“It may interest you to know that, the College  started as school of Health Technology (SHT) which was commissioned on 13th September, 2001 with (5) departments regulated by different professional bodies to run professional certificates and Diplomas respectively”

“Currently, the college has a students population of 2294, with 222 staff an  25 different courses ranging from Certificates, National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas" He said.

“In the year 2014, the School of Health Technology (SHT) was upgraded to College of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST)”

“We are excited about the potential and possibilities this transformation brings.   our intent is to ensure a seamless transition, maintaining our academic excellence, while embracing new opportunities”

Responding the chairman of the transition committee, professor,  Lawal Sulaiman Bilbis, said they were are at the college to go round and see what is on  ground, and access the available equipments in College with the aim of  advising the Government on appropriate  consideration for utilization by the new University.
