Auto crash reduces by 39% in Zamfara- FRSC

Federal Roads Safety Corps  record 38.9% reduction of the auto crashes along major roads in  Zamfara State

The Sector Commander Aliyu Maaji made the disclosure during a courtesy visit with Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zamfara State Council held at Command headquarters in Gusau.

Maaji said the command had countdown reduction was a statistical comparative reduction of the year 2024 and 2025 which give a marging of 38.9% as at December 2025.

He attributed the sucçess to the level of public awareness disseminated through Media outlets that enable the Corps to grassroots communities. 

He appreciating the working journalists for their support in the area of enlightenment, called on them to joint FRSC Special Marshalls to further contribute their quarter in the enforcement traffic laws, control and rescue of the crash victims.

“Involvement of media personnel into special marshal would enhance public awareness and mutual trust with corps” he added.

The Sector Commander noted with concern how traffic signs were vandalized, and called for collective effort to protect them.


In his remarks the Chairman NUJ Zamfara State Council, Ibrahim Maizare appreciate the Command for keeping mutual relationship with journalists. 

He promised the Union's continued support in propagating the activities of FRSC in the state, adding a substantial number of the NUJ would joint the special marshal give their contribution as social coorporate responsibility.
