ZAMFARA STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR DECLARES OPEN LEGISLATIVE OVERSIGHT WORKSHOP IN KANO

The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) has declared open a three-day workshop organised by the Office of the Head of Service, Zamfara State, for the members of Zamfara State House of Assembly.

The workshop, which took place at the City King Hotel Hall, Kano, with themed:

“Using Deep Thinking, Research-Driven Approaches and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for 21st Century Legislative Oversight Functions.”

In his keynote address at the opening ceremony, the Deputy Governor described the initiative as timely, strategic and highly commendable, particularly considering the caliber of participants and the relevance of the theme to modern governance and effective legislative oversight.

He noted that, the workshop is aimed at strengthening cooperation and fostering a harmonious working relationship between civil servants and public office holders, in order to enhance effective service delivery across all levels of governance in the state.

Mani Malam Mummuni  further highlighted the strong commitment of the Governor Dauda Lawal-led administration to capacity building and institutional reforms, stressing that, the programme aligns perfectly with the administration’s Rescue Agenda.

The Deputy Governor, assured participants that, the state government will continue to prioritise training and retraining of both civil and public servants, as a means of improving efficiency, accountability and good governance.

He commended the organisers for conceptualising and successfully implementing the workshop, describing it as a job well done, and urged participants to fully engage in the deliberations.

Mutawallen Bukkuyum wished the participants fruitful discussions and a safe journey back to their respective destinations at the end of the programme.
