ZMSG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING YOUTHS AND GRASSROOTS COMMUNITIES

  The Zamfara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing programmes and initiatives aimed at supporting youths and citizens who contributed to the success of the present administration.

  The Deputy Governor of State, Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) made the statement during the distribution of food items and clothing facilitated by the State Commissioner for Works, Malam Lawal Barau Bungudu, in Bungudu town.

  The Deputy Governor, commended the Commissioner for Works for his thoughtful initiative, describing it as a demonstration of loyalty, commitment, and dedication to the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal. He noted that, such efforts help to cushion the effects of economic hardship among the society.

   He therefore called on all political office holders and government appointees in the state to emulate the gesture by supporting their respective communities, emphasizing that leaders at the grassroots level are closer to the people and play a critical role in driving the developmental agenda of the Zamfara State Government.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Works, Malam Lawal Barau Bungudu, stated that, the empowerment initiative was informed by the current economic challenges facing many families, with the aim of alleviating their hardship. He disclosed that, 500 beneficiaries would benefit from the distribution, in addition to 250 individuals who were recently supported through a similar intervention by his wife.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of Bungudu Local Government Area, Nura Umar Bungudu, expressed his appreciation for the intervention and commended Governor Dauda Lawal for the various developmental projects being executed across the local government area. He also thanked the Commissioner for Works for his continued support to the people.

   He added that, the Zamfara State Government remains committed to policies and programmes that promote social welfare, inclusive governance, and sustainable development across the state.
