NSCDC has arrests 9 Susfect of Stoling School Properties worth over #4Million, others in Zamfara

Nigeria Secuirity and Civil defence Corps has Successfully arrested nine Susfects who theif the School Properties in Zatmfara State.
In a Press Statement Signed by the Sporksperson of NSCDC, ASCI Umar Mohammad M, issued to the Journslists in Gusau, the State Capital.
According to Umar Mohammad, the Suspects involvebd in commission of the crime confessed to being perpetrators, conspired to remove the roofing, attempted to bribe the village heads, both the district head, Sarkin Gabas Aliyu and village head, Magaji Kabiru Salisu declined and advised them against the act,
“They confessed to acting without the knowledge of Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), they confessed to intending to pay levies to enable them access to farmlands during cultivation period,67 the cost of damage accrued for the vandalised block is three (3) classrooms estimated at four million five hundred thousand naira (4,500,000 NGN)”
Statement added that, the NSCDC has arrested Susfect Mr. Emmanuel Okonkwo ‘M’ 58years was apprehended in Birnin Magaji LGA through the Corps’ Divisional Office on the 10th September, 2026 at about 2330hours (11:30pm) in his shop at bakin tasha area of Birnin Magaji LGA.
“Through his confession to the department of Intelligence & Intelligence, the suspect Mr. Emmanuel Okonkwo stated the following: Two (2) further accomplices in one Yellow and Sadiq (at large) both indigenes of Birnin Magaji but they do their activities in Kaduna State and Malele village of Dansadau, Zamfara State respectively”
“The Susfect do his business in Birnin Magaji for over 20years being the owner of a chemist, he confessed to conspiring with Yellow and Sadiq to selling hard substances, as listed below: Cannabis (Weed, Marijuana) 112 packs, Exol 5 - 2 leathers of 500 pcs each and 160pcs, amounting to a total of 1160pcs, Tramadol - 12 sachets of 225mg & 2 sachets of 50mg, Diazepam D10 tabs - 133pcs”
“In fairness, transparency and collaboration with sister agencies, the state commandant, CC Sani Mustapha has directed the immediate transfer of the latter to National Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and necessary action(s) while the former shall be arraigned before a competent court of law for prosecution”
“NSCDC is uncompromising and has zero tolerance for criminality and any unethical vices the federation term unruly; any suspect apprehended shall face astute investigation and upon completion, brought to justice”
