Zamfara State Deputy Governor Senator Nasiha Conferred with the Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Zanfara State Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau has conferred with the honorary Doctorate degree in philosophy (phd) causa, by the GD GOENKA University New delhi India.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director General Press affairs office of the Deputy Governor, comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi.
"Two birds with one stone, one in form of a mission accomplished and the other an award of honor, were swiftly bagged in the course of a the trip to New Delhi, India on an official engagement embarked upon effective from this week Tuesday by His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hassan Muhammad (Jarman Gusau)"
“The major one was his success in the all important international assignment of connecting the State with other international investors, aimed at supporting the State in the area of economic development which was able to woo the economic circle there in expressing their interest in coming to the State for a number of viable economic ventures of high premium spread across the State”
“The event organized by the Board of the University Council, a fecilitation on the recipient indicates that the honor was in recognition of the personality of the Deputy Governor's past and present track records in promoting good governance and utmost contributions in uplifting the living standard of his immediate community by supporting both major and minor social needs of his people"
Speaking at the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor (Dr) Tabrez Ahmad, described Senator Dr. Hassan Muhammad Gusau as the number two individual chosen, to date, by the institution within its twenty-eight years of existence for the award of Honorary Doctorate Degree on a personality from any country in the African continent.
According to Professor Tabrez Ahmad, GD Goenka University is the leading proprietor of academic institution at a university level that excell above over two hundred and twenty educational institutions across India in the provision of quality and sound education in a standard highly recognized conducive learning environment.
While reading the citation of the recipient, the Vice Chancellor further said, the University identified some key important sectors of the economy that Senator Gusau attaches importance to for which he contributes immensely his very best. And pointed out that, the important sectors were Agriculture, Health, Commerce, Water Resources, and Politics.
The Vice-Chancellor, therefore, on behalf of the Pro-Chancellor of the university Mr. Nipon Goenka and Managing Director of GD Goenka Group, staff and students of GD Goenka University congratulated Senator Dr. Hassan Muhammad Gusau, and urged him to remain the pride of the University by continuous display of his position as one of its important ambassadors not only in Nigeria but in the whole of Africa.
Also speaking at the occasion, the High Commissioner of Nigeria in India His Excellency Ahmad Sule described the Award as timely and it is an honor not only for Senator Gusau but for the good people of Zamfara State and Nigeria at large.
The Nigerian High Commissioner also expressed appreciation for choosing a Nigerian for this year's special award and more so from Nigeria.
