Commissioner hails OGP for public's enlightenment on citizens demand

The Kaduna state commissioner for planning and budget commission, Hajiya Umma Yusuf Aboki has commended the Open Government Partnership (OGP) for their efforts in public's awareness on citizens participation of government policies and programme's.

Mrs Aboki made the commendation while interviewed with newsmen's during the summit on leveraging digital technologies for sustaining gains of the open government partnership, organised by Ihifix Digital recently held at Arewa house Kaduna.

According to the Commissioner, "the essence of this conference is to discussed on how technology aspects help's the public's in  getting access and submissions to their demands, through the efforts by open government partnership(OGP).

She however noted that, " the state government is currently serving the state integrated financial management information system,its the project integrates all the aspects of the government, integrates;budget, contracts, treasury etc.

In his addressed the OGP point of contact Mr Tara Jeremiah Wyan, explained that, the main principles for open government partnership is to promote: accountability, transparency, citizens participation, technology innovations and monitoring and evaluation.

"Ogp is about dialogues,about access to information and about citizens inclusiveness,that enhance the policy development and policy implementation".

Also addressing the participants on digital development,the team leader Ihifix, Mr Emmanuel Odeh Adikpe, noted that, digital development is all about to; design with the user, understand the ecosystem, design for scale, build for sustainability, be a data driven, us open standard,reuse and improve, address privacy and security, be a collaborative and citizens demand.

He however thanked the other partners supported for the success of the event; the partnership to engage,reform and learn (PERL), coalition of association for leadership, peace, empowerment and development (CALPED,Arewa house Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

Zamfara NSCDC Hosts Acting Provost FCET Gusau

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Insecurity: Zamfara hospitals surfer brain drain - Doctor call rescue

Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
