KDSG to generate 300b from 3m active economical peoples annually

The Kaduna state governor Malan Nasir Ahmad El-rufa, revealed that "the state has over three millions economically active  people's that suppose to voluntary pay the tax of one hundreds thousands annually.

The governor, stated this during the 2022 Tax Dialogue, with the theme; voluntary tax compliance: a fundamental for social contracts and service delivery, organised by the Kaduna state internal revenue service, recently held at Yar Adua hall Murtala square Kaduna.

According to the governor, the one hundreds thousands suppose to paid is calculated to be less then ten thousands monthly, and the government can be able to generate three hundreds billions per annum from tax alone.

" while the entire budget of this year is about three hundred billions,that's means much More; roads, hospitals, schools, water, electricity, insecurity will go down and Mich more infrastructure development ".

He however noted that" its only employees by the state government factory like the Nigerian Breweries paids their nominant taxes.

Speaking at the event the executive chairman federal inland revenue service, Muhammed Mamman Nami,commended the Kaduna state internal revenue service for organising this an interaction sessions on voluntary tax compliance.

He advised them to careful address of tax deviation, implement the communiqué and also urged to involved the traditional institutions, because they were once close to the people for effective delivery.

Also addressing the media men the director general Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Dr Bashir Kamoj OFR, described the dialogue as important and interesting events, and also warned the government for lack of public inclusivity while having or introduction of policies.

"The dialogue introduced suggested that they are keeping praised for the normal way of good governance.also called on the state tax generated body's to educate the public the importance of the impacts of paying the tax, and make sure earned the trust of the public.

Also speaking with journalist the secretary, joint tax board, Hajiya Nana Aisha,explained that this dialogue is to engaged the citizens to know the project logically, that the tax is not a budget is rather the contributions making the government and the society better for everyone.
