World Diabetes Day;NANN chairman calls on regular medical checkup

The chairman national association of Nigerian nurses and midwifery (NANNM) Kaduna state council, Comrade Ishaku Yakubu has called on the general public to make sure they have conducting a regular sugar medical checkup in order to prevent and control the menace of diabetes.

Comrade Ishaku made the called while interview with media men in his office for the commemoration of world diabetes day recently in Kaduna.

He however alerting the society that "diabetes is a silent killer disease, but if it's diagnosed at very early stage is easy to control, if it's became chronic is difficult to control.

" diabetes generally known as increase in sugar levels with low streams. It's also caused by; heredity and suddentry life styles".

It's only prevented when having a regular medical checkup, eating more of fruits, taking much water and conducting a regular exercises. He added.

The chairman however assured the heath worker's that having receiving a delayed salaries that the Union is working tirelessly in resolving the situation.
