Ramadan Package : Ex- Governor Yari distributes food items, others to 6000 orphans in Zamfara

Former Zamfara state Governor/Senator-elect Zamfara west, Hon Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, has distributed food items, clothing materials and cash to 6000 orphans  across 19 emirate councils of the state.

Speaking during the flag off ceremony, Secretary distribution committee, Hon, Sanusi Liman dan Alhaji, said that,  the gesture was part of AA yari effort to assist orphans for them to live like each other, adding that, the items distributed was valued at ( #201.175,000).

Hon. Sanusi narrated that, the items distributed included Rice, Millet, maize, Sugar, clothing materials and N2,000 cash to each orphan.  Saying that, the orphans were selected from from 19 emirates 300 orphans each, while Gusau emirate will have double.

“Each of the emirates is entitled to 45 sacks of millet, 45 sacks of maize, 46 sacks of Sugar, 93 sacks of rice, 300 units of cloth materials and a cash amount of N600,000.”

in his speech the Ex- governor yari  who was represented by the former commissioner for Religious affairs, Malam Abdullahi Maharazu Talata Mafara, commended the committee members for their job  weldone calling on the  beneficiaries to utilize the items given to them.

In his remarks the Emir of Gusau, Dr, Ibrahim bello who was  represented by Sarkin Gabas of Gusau, Alh. Bashir Muhammad Kabir Dan-Baba, thanked the Senator-elect for the gesture and implored well-to-do individuals to support orphans in their respective immediate communities.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
