ZMHA AFFIRMS LAW ESTABLISHING ZAMFARA STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND

Zamfara state House of Assembly has assented to an executive bill for a law to establish Zamfara State Security Trust Fund 2023 which has already scaled the first and second reading, and other related matters thereof, 2023.
This followed a motion moved by the Majority Leader of the House and member representing Tsafe East constituency, Hon. Bello Muhammad Mazawaje member, seconded House Minority Leader, Hon.Aliyu Ango Kagara, member representing Mafara South at the flour of the House chamber.
Shedding more light on the bill , Hon. Mazawaje said by the development,, Zamfara can achieve significantly on security matters.
According to him, any assistance from within, outside the state and international donors will directly be impacted on the people.
In their separate contributions, Hon. Basiru Bello Bungudu, member representing Bungudu West, Bashar Aliyu Gummi 2, Aliyu Ango Kagara Mafara South, Nura Dahiru Birnin Magaji and Amiru Ahmad Tsafe West, both supported the motion, advising colleagues to do so.
Thee House Speaker, Rt Hon. Biliyaminu Ismail Moriki directed the Clerk of the Houuse, Shehu Sai'du Anka to give the bill first and second reading.
Hon. Biliyaminu Ismail ordered the bill be channeled to House Committee on Security, in collaboration with the House Committee on Justice for further actions and consultation with neighboring states and report back for further legislative actions within two months time frame.
In a related development, member representing Anka constituency, Hon. Rilwanu Marafa moved a motion for the need to call on the state government to award contract for the control of gully erosion that hit Danbarmo new layout through NRC area down to Gulbi area in order to alleviate the suffering of of residents in the area which was seconded by Hon. Bello Aliyu Gummi ll.
Hon. Rilwanu said people of this area are have been suffering of erosion , especially during the rain season.
Marafa added that by awarding construction of the road, people in the area and state in general will have a sigh of relief, particularly during raining season.
"I am appealing to you my colleague to accept my prayer on this Matter and agree to constitute a committee to go and see how the condition of the area is."", he noted.
In their separate contributions, Hon. Adamu Aliyu , Hon. Yakubu Almajir and Hon. Ibrahim Garba Liman both supported the prayers of the sponsor of the motion and called on fellow members to duly confirm it.
After extensive deliberation on the bill, Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Biliyaminu Ismail Moriki referred the matter to the House Committee on Works, in collaboration with the House Committee on Environment and Solid Minerals and to report back within two weeks time frame
