N-HYPPADEC YT program Empower 1000 kebbi youths on skill Acquisition

The Nigeria Hydro Electric power producing Area Development commission (N-HYPPADEC) Birnin-Kebbi office in Kebbi-State has empowered one thousand youths on different skills acquisition for self reliant on its youth transformation programme (YTP).

N-HYPPADEC coordinator in the state Dr Adamu zubairu utono disclosed this on friday during an interview with journalist in his office in Birnin-Kebbi metroplis.

According to him, the beneficiaries were empowered with funds for the improvement of their skills acquisition such as poultry, tailoring, fish farming, backery, carpentry, fashion design, pop and computer.

Dr utono added that beneficiaries have now become self reliant after utilized the assistant they received from the state office which was approved by the managing Director of the N-HYPPADEC, Abubakar sadiq Yelwa ( katukan yauri).

He noted that his office also was liasing with corporate affairs commission (CAC) to secure certificate for the beneficiaries in order to operate freely on their businesses in the state.

"This youths that we empowered on these skills have gone far in producing what they were trained or doing in which most of them opened shops, factory and other HUP attending customers on daily basis."_ Dr utono said.

"We also distributed ten thousand bags of fertilizer to communities under the benefiting local government areas in the state at affordable prices during the rain and dry season in order to boost their farming activities in kebbi state."_ he added.
