BASG joins fed. govt, World bank to improve, better lives of rural communities _ as gov. bala launches 115 km rural roads projects

In his continuous efforts to fulfill his campaighn promises, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has blun the wetstle for the commencement  of 115 km rural roads construction connecting various communities across 20 LGAs of the state.

The Governor while kick starting the rural road construction project in Hardawa town of Misau local government on Wednesday, explained that rural road construction is very important as it has a significant impact on the lives of rural communities by improving access to Market, enhancing healthcare,social interaction, education and of course economic growth and development of the areas.

He revealed that the rural road project awarded to Habib Engineering limited,is aimed at improving rural access and enhancing agricultural marketing in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and food security and the World Bank.

While committing hid administration's total commitment to rural transformation, Governor Mohammed, pledging to ensure prompt and timely payment of counterpart funds for the project's success. 

As he commend the construction firm for it excellent previous jobs in the state,the governor urge Habib engineering to execute the project according to contract specifications, timely and encouraged community members to support the project in their own interest.

Earlier in his address, th State Commissioner of Rural Development and Special Duties, Faruq Mustapha, unfolded that the ministry has identified over 4,000 rural roads for construction under the RAAMP-supported project. 

He commended Governor Bala Mohammed's commitment, While confirming that Bauchi State has been ranked one of the best implementing states among the 19 states where the RAAMP project is being implemented.

He congratulated the benefiting communities for having their long years dreams come true today under the good and promising people oriented governor Bala Mohammed, who's five years in office as the executive governor of Bauchi state turnd round the State to the asperation and dreams of the founding fathers of the state.

The National Coordinator of RAAMP Project, Engineer Aminu Bodiga, commended Governor Mohammed for his commitment to rural transformation through prompt payment of counterpart funds. 

Aminu assured that at the end of this project the benefiting communities will experience new and better life that includes enhancing, improving their total way of life that will boost, create job opportunities, their economy for overall aspects of development.
