The newly 20 elected Executive Local Government Council Chairmen in Bauchi State, were yesterday sworn in by the Executive Governor of the State Senator Bala Mohammed.

The ceremony which colourfully took place yesterday, Monday 19th 2024 at Dr Sulaimanu Adamu Square at Government House Bauchi, attracted so many PDP stakeholders, such as former Senators Adamu Ibrahim Gumba,Bala Adamu Kariya and Yahaya Gumau, Serving Senator representing Bauchi Central Abdul Ahmed Ningi,all PDP National Assembly members, state PDP caretaker Committee Executives and teaming supporters across the State.
Presenting his speech at ceremony, Governor Bala Muhammad, charged the newly elected Chairmen to be accountable,transperent and responsive to the needs of their People.
While welcoming his administration's support for the Local Government full autonomy for the development of rural communities, Governor Mohammed said his resolve to organize the local election is to ensure that the people are legitimately governed and therefore urged the chairman to complement his administration's efforts in providing good governance.
He reminded them that they were elected to serve the people and ensure that their basic needs are met, such as access to healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
Speaking on behalf of the newly elected chairmen, The Executive Chairman Bauchi Local Government Mahmoud Babama'aji, thanked the governor for his support and guidance during the election process.
They pledged their commitment to work tirelessly to deliver dividends of democracy to their people and to justify the confidence reposed in them. And further assured to work in partnership with the state government to ensure the successful emplementation of " My Bauchi Agenda" of Governor Bala Mohammed in the interest of Bauchi State.
