ZLGSC TRAINS 70 COMPUTERS FINANCE CLERKS ON BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS FOR EFFECTIVE PRODUCTIVITY

The Zamfara State Local Government Service Commission (ZLGSC), in collaboration with Amlak Technology Nigeria Limited has organized a three-day training workshop for 70 Basic Computer finance clerks from fourteen local government areas in the State.

The training workshop, themed " Basic computer skills for effective productivity and efficiency in the workplace, for finance clerks" is aimed to be highly relevant,

considering the increasing role of information technology In modern-day public administration.

Declaring the workshop open at a ceremony held at the Amlak Technology Nigeria Limited multipurpose Hall in Gusau, the State Capital, the Executive Chairman of the Commission Alhaji Aminu Aliyu Mafara who was represented by the Secretary of the Commission Brr. Shafi'u Bukhari expressed that the use of computers and digital tools has become an essential requirement for efficient service delivery. 

He further explained that as Finance Clerks, they will play a critical role in

financial transactions at the grassroots level, adding that acquiring and strengthening computer skills will not only improve individual performance but will also enhance transparency, accountability, and productivity in the offices.

The Chairman also said that the workshop is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in basic computer operations, including document preparation, data entry, financial record management, and the effective use of digital tools that support workplace efficiency.

Mafara encourages all participants to take full advantage of the

opportunity by actively participating in the sessions, asking questions, and sharing experiences. The knowledge and skills you gain here should be applied in your respective Local Government Areas for improved service delivery.

In his remarks, the Director of Administrations of the Commission Alhaji Muktar Sani applauded the Executive Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission and facilitators AMLAK Technology for

putting together the important training workshop which aimed at strengthening the capacity of the workforce.
