Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON has imposed a 24 hours curfew Following hoodlums Criminal Operation in Azare, Katagum Local Government, that led to the destruction, stealing, burning of government and individuals properties. BASEPA, Rahama Community collaborates on tree planting exercise

Community based Tree Planting is one of the new model plantation strategies developed by the agency to induce a sense of ownership in the communities and the individuals to plant more trees and give them proper care by watering the plants morning and evening to the maturity level. Heavy Rain fall : Over 100 houses submerges, farmlands destroyed in Bauchi

Residents of the area said more than 100 households and many farmlands have been submerged in the flood. The Acting Chairman of Kirfi Local Government Area, Alhaji Bala Muhammed Duguri, confirmed the incidents to the truth newspapers in Bauchi. He confirmed that no life was lost in the disaster, but the situation was a threat to Cheledi and Kirfi communities and urged the victims to take it as an act of God. UNICEF Commends Nigeria for increasing rates of exclusive breastfeeding of children under Six Months

From Usman Shehu, Bauçhi The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has disclosed that 34% of Nigerian infants correctly benefited from exclusive breastfeeding, the efforts which greatly  saves hundreds of thousands of lives. UNICEF made the expression in a press statement mada available to journalists on Thursday as part of activities marking World Breastfeeding Week, where the Organization appreciates the ‘significant progress in increasing exclusive breastfeeding rates among infants under six months’ in Nigeria. The statement said the number of Nigerians  under-six-months who are exclusively breastfed has increased by 10% over the past 12 years.
