From Aliyu Buhari Gusau As part of efforts to combat the increasing effects of climate change and ensure a sustainable environment, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)   has launched a tree planting campaign in Zamfara State. The exercise which was flagged-off at  the premises of Government Girls Day Secondary School (GGDSS), in Bungudu Local Government Area of the State. In his remarks, the State Coordinator NYSC Zamfara State, Mallam Muhammad Lawan Ahmed stated that the initiative is part of a nationwide drive by the NYSC to protect the environment. From Amina Muhammad Ilorin Kwara state government in partnership with private firm is set to flood the state with commercial electric tricycles expected to ease transportation problem in the state, amidst rising cost of fuel in the country.  Speaking at the stakeholders meettng held on Electric Tricycles Acquisition Scheme in Ilorin, the Director-General of the EV Mass Transit Solutions, James Oludele Clinton, said 5,000 of the electric tricycles would be made available to the state. James said the project will start with 500 of the tricycles as a pilot scheme in Ilorin, the state capital, before it would be extended to other parts of the state.
